Here is my longer term plan for when I get back:
1. Get back to Tucson
2. Fly up to Oregon
3. See Karena
4. Bring Karena back to Arizona
5. Settle in, hopefully for longer than 7 months this time.

New high temperature for today! 142 degrees Fahrenheit at Kuwait City International Airport. I know, hearing me rant about the heat is getting old, but come on! I don’t have anything better to complain about right now.

The plan for my return to society
1. Arrive in Tucson
2. Retrieve Audi or Sidekick
3. Retrieve gun, probably Beretta, maybe S&W 1911
4. Shoot. A lot.
5. Pick up new guns and place them in safe
6. Drink beer
I think it sounds like a pretty solid plan. Anyone have input?

Yep, Kuwaiti wildlife. My personal favorite in the creepy area:

Got me a Browning A-Bolt the other day.  A nice Stainless Stalker in 375 H&H Mag with a Bushnell 4X scope.  It’s pretty.  It’s really light though, advertised at 7 lbs, probably a tad under 8 with the scope.  I’m looking for a nice stock for it, I’m thinking Boyd’s pepper laminate stock.  Should look pretty nice I think. Anyway, here it is in it’s present state.

As of 1 August 2010 I am officially a Staff Sergeant.  May God have mercy on the Air Force and those I am in charge of.

Title pretty much says it all. It was 131 degrees today. With 60% humidity. There was a light breeze that made it slightly more bearable, but wind doesn’t blow inside airplanes.

Tonight I signed up for Facebook.  It’s a big step for me, I’m not a very social person, it is very difficult for me to stay in touch with just about everybody if I’m not physically there, and I really hate what I feel “social networking” is doing to our world.  I think we are losing a huge chunk of what makes us human by not having to interact with any actual people.  But that is for another rant.  So I tried to get on Facebook for Karena and mom.  Mom is trying to get everyone from the family on there so we can all keep tabs on each other and such, sounds good right?  Yeah, until I spend 2 hours looking for people and manage to find 1 person.  If Facebook could talk, it would go something like this:

Me: Search for Karena Markham

FB:  Did you mean Karen Markham?  I found 89 of them.

Me: No, Karena, with an A.  Oh forget it here is her email address.

FBk: Oh, you meant Karena Markham, yeah, I got her right here.

Me: Ok, add her as a friend.

FB: Are you sure?

Me: Yes I’m sure.

FB: You know she is going to have to approve it too, right?

Me: Ok.

FB: Ok, just enter these two security words for me.

Me: Sure here you go.

FB: Sorry, that’s not right.

Me: What? Yes it is, but here, the two new words.

FB: No, that isn’t right either.  Oh, my bad, you’re good.

Me: Ok, now look for Pattie Arnold.

FB: Ok, we have 300 Patties.

Me:  Ok, I’ll look through them and find my mom.

FB: Not past 81-90 you won’t.

Me: Why not?

FB: Because I said so.

Me: Huh?

So yeah, I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes looking for mom on Facebook, searching name, email, trying to search location but according to Facebook Longmont Colorado doesn’t exist.  So 2 hours and 3 minutes after creating an account I deleted it.

I bought some new guns recently, an Ithaca M49, a neat little 22 single shot, and a Daewoo DP51 9MM.  Good times.  No pictures of the Ithaca, but here is one of the Daewoo, courtesy of my good friend Lord Glockington.

So, I quit posting on here for for awhile because of all the spam, 2013 spam posts to be exact, but I finally figured out how to block spam posts.  Well, that and being in Kuwait, but mostly the spam thing.  Anyhow, 5 days now, no spam.  I win.
